ED2019_online post

TownOfUlsterCitizens.org, Kingston Land Trust and Seed Song Farm are joining together to host an Earth Day Celebration at 48 Buckley Street and Seed Song Farm (160 Esopus Ave) in the town of Ulster.

SCHEDULE: 5/4/2019
At 48 Buckley St:  12pm – Site dedication to Renno Budziak

At Seed Song Farm, 160 Esopus Ave: 1p-4pm Earth Day Celebration

At noon we will remember Renno Budziak by dedicating a site along the Esopus Creek at 48 Buckley St with a planted tree and plaque. There will be several speakers including James Quigley, III, town of Ulster Town Supervisor. This is open to the public.

At 1pm we begin our Earth Day Celebration at Seed Song Farm. Throughout the afternoon there will be narrated hayrides between Seed Song farm and 48 Buckley, highlighting agroecological features of this farmland in the floodplain of the Esopus Creek. There will also be live music, nature-based arts and crafts activities, a seed planting activity with containers to take home, food, and a visit from the Parrots for Peace. Seed Song farm will have veggie and herb starts for sale and we will be helping plant native shrub and tree saplings for a community nursery.

Bring the whole family! There will be something for every age.

The rain date is May 4th.
